How it Works

  • Rider requests a ride on the Mobile App 24/7/365.

  • If the ride begins and ends in your pre-approved service area, the voucher activates and the trip qualifies for a subsidy.

  • The rider receives the subsidy (discounted ride) and is picked up/dropped off directly at their destination.

  • If the rider chooses an area outside of your service area, the rider is aware that the subsidy does not apply to their ride request.

  • You ONLY pay a subsidy for rides that meet the controls and specifications of their ridesharing partnership.

The TRIPPP model will provide immense value to your community in the following ways

  • TRIPPP will develop a customized public ridesharing partnership program for your community to provide transit solutions for downtown and beyond.
  • Work directly with Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAV) companies to remain in compliance with the DOJ and provide On-Demand Rides for ADA service needs.

Launching a TRIPPP Transit program

TRIPPP charges a one-time development and integration fee to begin the service and to incorporate the WAV component, including special paratransit service vehicles. TRIPPP Consulting will be an ongoing partner with your community during the life of the agreement.

The annual subsidy budget is based on projected rider demand. You determine and allocate an annual budget for subsidies applied to each eligible ride taken using the Uber platform. The amount of each subsidy can be capped and limited for each ride, limited to the service area, and the number of rides can be capped per user per month. There are multiple controls in place to prevent against outside usage. You ONLY pay subsidies for eligible rides taken based on customized parameters and controls. All unexpended funds in the annual subsidy budget remain in your budget.
